Regrettably after a little under four and a half years CCM Riders forum has closed, existing posts will remain on view until the next web hosting payment is due on 7th June 2012.
My personal health is the main reason for the closure, I have not been able to ride a bike since last July and the prospects aren’t looking any better at the moment, lately I’ve had another health setback. Additionally we have a family issue which I won’t describe here that needs my full attention, moderators were aware of this. These issues are not new and for some time I have agonised over the way to make an exit; and unfortunately this is the only way which will work for me. CCM Riders has become my personal monster, addiction if you like and I can’t give it any more of my time, four and a half years is more than I can deal with, it is a very painful decision all the same.
Members who made a donation to site over the last ten weeks will be refunded by PayPal in the next day or two, any remaining funds will be donated to Frontslide whose life was turned upside down following terrible injuries. As of today (26/01/12) there is £237.83 in the bank account.
Many thanks to those who contributed to the running of the site, notably BOM, Dean525, Joe90, Madasabicycle, Makroboy , Marc, Monty, Patrick644, Richie644 and Tone. Thanks also go to those who contributed technical articles; these will be free to view/copy until the 7th June.

Update 27/01/2012 – Refunds
PayPal refunds have been made to 15 former members this morning, there is a balance of £132.11 which will be transferred to Frontslide today, web hosting fees were paid in advance.
Update 28/01/2012 – Webmaster Email Address
One request was received for a copy of an advert, and the information was supplied by return. There were three other enquiries which are outside of the scope I can currently deal with, on that basis the webmaster email address is at least temporarily closed.
